Position Summary:
Position Title: Finance Intern (Summer 2026)Reports to: Manager, Accounting
Location: Remote (Ontario, Canada)
This is a full-time (40 hour per week) internship for a duration of 12 weeks. (May to August 2026)
The Finance Intern will support day-to-day AP and AR activities while gaining hands-on experience with financial systems and processes. This role includes process documentation, vendor management support, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Shadow Accounts Payable to learn core AP processes and responsibilities
- Assist with documenting existing AP workflows and identifying process improvements
- Support vendor management activities, including:
- Assisting with the transition of vendors
- Collaborating with Purchasing and Operations teams to support vendor setup
- Assist with vendor setup and processing in QuickBooks
- Enter invoices into financial systems, including Serrala and QuickBooks
- Develop and maintain a centralized list of key contacts
- Assist with the distribution of AR invoices to customers
- Provide support on ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as needed
Position Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems
