Help great homes run smoothly. Grow with Calgary’s highest-rated rental management team.

Location: Calgary, Alberta

About Ripple Property Management

At Ripple, we adopt a modern, technology-driven approach to managing residential rental properties, prioritizing the needs of both tenants and property owners. With our headquarters in Calgary and a rapidly expanding presence, we are a property management company achieving significant success, evidenced by our 4.7-star rating on Google from hundreds of reviews by tenants and owners—a rarity in the industry.

Our clients appreciate our quick communication, user-friendly systems, and approachable, pressure-free property showings. Whether you are renting for the first time or are an out-of-town property owner, we strive to make the experience straightforward, transparent, and respectful.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Service Specialist to play a vital role in our field operations team, assuring that our properties are impeccably maintained and our tenants receive outstanding service.

The Role

This role is perfect for a hands-on problem-solver who is just as comfortable performing routine inspections as they are coordinating with trades and guiding junior team members. As a Service Specialist, you'll be the reliable backbone of our field service operations, handling a variety of tasks dispatched to you.

You’re the kind of person who knows their way around a residential property—you can identify a furnace filter that needs changing, troubleshoot common household issues, and know when to call in a professional. You'll act as a point of escalation in the field, investigating unusual situations and ensuring our standards for quality and service are met.

What You'll Do
  • Field Operations & Inspections: Conduct detailed move-in and move-out inspections, routine property checks, and follow-ups to ensure our homes are in top condition.
  • Basic Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Handle minor maintenance tasks and be the first line of defense for service requests, identifying issues and determining the next steps.
  • Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Meet with and follow up on the work of contractors and tradespeople to ensure jobs are completed to our standards.
  • Problem Investigation: Investigate and report on unique or complex field situations, providing clear information for the office team to act on.
  • Team Support & Training: Assist in training and mentoring new Field Agents on basic inspection procedures and company standards.
  • System & Process Adherence: Use our company software to receive dispatches, log activities, and communicate updates from the field.

Who You Are

You’re a practical and resourceful individual with a strong sense of responsibility. You take pride in a job well done and have a knack for figuring things out. You are a clear communicator and can comfortably interact with tenants, contractors, and team members.

Why Join Ripple?
  • You’ll be trusted and supported – You’re not just a number here. You’ll have real ownership over your responsibilities, and your ideas for making things better will be heard.
  • You’ll be joining a top-rated team – With a 4.7-star rating on Google, we’re known for treating people well and communicating quickly. We take pride in delivering what we promise.
  • You’ll grow with us – As we expand, there’s an opportunity to grow into a more senior role within our operations team.
  • You’ll work in a fast, tech-forward environment – No clunky processes or outdated systems here. We love finding better, smarter ways to get things done.

Requirements

We’d love to meet you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a hands-on role such as a building or apartment superintendent, a field service technician, or a tradesperson with experience leading small teams.
  • A solid understanding of residential building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to identify common problems.
  • Experience in operations management or a similar field is a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in various situations.
  • A valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel to properties within Calgary.
  • A team-first attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $65,000 CAD/year
  • Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision)
  • Paid Time Off Benefits
  • Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
  • Paid vacation and personal time off
  • Cell phone allowance or company plan
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Flexible working hours
