Toronto - Sr Finance Systems Analyst

Our client is looking to hire a Senior Finance systems analyst for a long term contract. This role is critical in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of financial systems and processes, supporting data integrity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Systems Management: Oversee and maintain financial systems to ensure seamless month-end and year-end close processes. Troubleshoot system issues, work with IT and vendor support teams to implement fixes, and ensure continuous system performance.
• System Implementation and Upgrades: Lead the implementation, testing, and roll-out of new finance systems or upgrades. Develop project plans, define system requirements, and liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure projects meet functional and timeline goals.
• Data Integrity and Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems, regularly performing audits and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and maintain documentation for system processes and controls.
• Business Process Optimization: Analyze, develop, and improve financial processes and workflows. Design and implement automation solutions, system integrations, and data flows that enhance operational efficiency and reporting capabilities.
• Reporting and Analysis: Support finance and business teams with financial reporting, dashboard creation, and analysis. Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and deliver insights that drive business decisions through advanced data analysis.
• Training and Support: Train finance and other relevant teams on system functionalities and best practices. Provide ongoing support and documentation for end-users, enhancing their understanding and use of financial systems
