A 1st Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking various food items according to recipes and airline menu specifications.
The 1st cook must follow consistently all the food safety, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing principles in line with Gate Gourmet Food Safety policies and procedures.
Job Specific Requirements: Good Communication Skills Read, write and follow directions and airline specifications Our Employees Must Be Able to: Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays Work Overtime when required Follow written specifications directions Good communication skills reading/ writing Complete paperwork Communicate with Supervisors and co-workers Follow directions Work as a member of a team Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred Environmental Requirements: Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to twenty-five(25) pounds Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours Demonstrated Competencies to be Successful in the Position: Thinking
