Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President of Training and Development to lead our efforts in creating and implementing comprehensive training programs that enhance skills, performance, and career development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and executing successful training strategies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan aligned with the company’s training and development programs focused on the Wholesaler Development, product training and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs across the program portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify training needs and align programs with business goals.
  • Lead a team of training professionals and provide mentorship and guidance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback and make data-driven improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Manage the training budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, financial services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading consulting engagements in the field of performance improvement, sales effectiveness and sales enablement.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Experience with vendor negotiation, management and project management.
