Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems and products, ensuring they meet rigorous performance, quality, and safety standards.

As a senior team member, you will mentor junior engineers, manage high-impact projects, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record and discipline lead on designated projects.
  • Lead the execution of projects and managing discipline project spend, deliverable quality and management of change.
  • Track and report on the progress of projects to project management.
  1. Technical Experience
  • Full cycle EPC experience
  • Experience with pipe stress analysis such as Caesar II
  • Experienced in the creation and checking of material specifications for piping systems
  • Experienced with design and specification of pressure equipment such as tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to travel to job sites as required.
  1. Communication
  • Effectively communicate within project teams and with clients in a remote working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, basic cross-functional knowledge.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  1. Mentorship
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence at all levels.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners

Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license required (registered in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
