About Our Client

A well-established construction company with a strong presence in retail, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects since 1964 is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team. This is a confidential search, and all inquiries will be handled with the utmost discretion

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project scope.
• Obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop project budgets and forecasts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and proposal presentations as required.
• Work closely with project managers, clients, and consultants to ensure alignment with project expectations.
• Stay up to date with industry costs, materials, and market trends to maintain competitive pricing strategies.

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial sectors.
• PQS designation or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Codes and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Timberline, or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
