Renal Technologist - Renal Dialysis - London
The Renal Technologist reports to the Manager, Renal Program, and has professional accountability to the Charge Renal Technologist.
Accountabilities:
- Maintenance of dialysis related equipment
- Participation in maintaining a quality assurance program
- Providing technical consultation and staff education
- Other duties as required
- Electronics Engineering Diploma or Dialysis Technology Diploma with a minimum of two years recent dialysis experience
- Knowledge of dialysis equipment and water treatment systems
- Fresenius dialysis machine experience preferred
- Knowledge of electronics engineering, computer sciences and relevant codes, standards and legislation
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of medical and clinical personnel in a patient focused team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- Expected to work at all sites as needs require and all shifts
- Holds current valid driver's license, has access to own vehicle and uses own vehicle to commute to different work locations
- Expected to travel to patients’ homes, between all Osler sites (including Orangeville), within and occasionally outside the central west region during work hours and after hours
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20kg above waist routinely
