About Our Client

A well-established and respected civil contractor is seeking a Construction Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale bridge and infrastructure projects. This role will manage multiple concurrent projects from pre-construction through closeout, working closely with project managers, coordinators, and site leadership teams.

Job Description
  • Oversee all phases of bridge and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, on budget, and to scope
  • Provide mentorship and strategic direction to project teams across multiple job sites
  • Lead pre-construction planning, scheduling, risk identification, and resource allocation
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the business
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement by integrating modern construction technologies and lean practices
  • Contribute to long-term workforce development by attracting, retaining, and developing field and office staff

The Successful Applicant
  • 15+ years in civil construction, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership or Construction Manager role
  • Strong understanding of bridge construction techniques, structural requirements, and sequencing
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Proven ability to lead complex, high-value projects with union and non-union labour
  • Skilled in risk management, budgeting, schedule control, and team leadership
  • Deep familiarity with OHSA, contract law, lien regulations, and public infrastructure standards
  • Experience developing teams and supporting performance through coaching and mentoring
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in project management and scheduling software
