  • time 0.5fte Occupational Therapist position in the South Okanagan Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team based at the Penticton Health Centre.

This position works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09:00-15:40.

About the position: The occupational therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient, outpatient, residential and community occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

The occupational therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.

Qualfications
  • Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
