Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately assess vehicle damage and provide detailed repair estimates for insurance companies, customers, and repair shops.
- Inspect Damaged Vehicles: Evaluate vehicles involved in accidents, assessing structural, mechanical, and cosmetic damages.
- Prepare Written Estimates: Use estimation software and tools to generate detailed repair estimates, including parts, labor, and materials.
- Communicate with Customers: Explain repair processes, costs, and timelines to customers, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Liaise with Insurance Adjusters: Coordinate with insurance companies to ensure timely approvals and claims processing for repairs.
- Document Repair Approval: Ensure proper documentation of all estimates, approvals, and agreements for internal and external purposes.
- Maintain Knowledge of Repair Processes: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, repair techniques, and parts costs.
- Review and Approve Invoices: Verify that final invoices match initial estimates and resolve any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Repair Team: Collaborate with technicians and shop managers to ensure accurate repairs and quality control.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by being approachable, attentive, and responsive throughout the repair process.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and insurance guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Previous experience as an auto body appraiser, estimator, or similar role is an asset but not required
- Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., Qapter / Audatex, Mitchell, or similar) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of the auto repair industry, including procedures and industry standards is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in simple terms.
- I-CAR certification or other relevant industry certifications would be an asset.
Position Overview:
As a Collision Repair Estimator at CSN Walkerton, you will evaluate damaged vehicles and create detailed repair estimates. Your expert understanding of vehicle damages and the repair process will ensure that our customers receive accurate information and timely service.You will work with customers, providing excellent customer service, outlining the steps involved with the repair process and answering any questions along the way. You will liaise with insurance adjusters, and our in-house technicians to ensure the smooth progression of the claims process and repair timeline.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, knowledge of automotive repair, and excellent communication skills.

Hourly pay - $23 - $28
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 8 am - 5 pm and Friday 8 am - 4 pm
