Position type: temporary for at least 6 months (between 20 to 35 heures per week)Start date : As soon as possible
Compensation: $22.18-$24.13 per hour depending on years of experience

Under the supervision of the Manager, Procurement and Material Management and in collaboration with the Administrative agent - Class 1 Purchasing, the storekeeper is responsible for ordering, storing and distributing supplies, materials or equipment needed by staff to perform their work.The incumbent must also manage the inventory of materials and exercise control over goods by recording them in a computerized system.
Responsibilities:
- Order merchandise and products in inventory according to the requests received by entering the required data in the computer system according to the procedures and regulations of the establishment.
- Confirm prices from suppliers by fax or email for projects.
- Receive the merchandise in inventory or project: unloading, recognition, verification of the products in relation to the delivery order and forward it to the accounting department.
- Route merchandise received to the warehouse or store.
- Maintain the layout of the warehouse and store.
- Ship patient products or merchandise (documents, products, pagers, etc.) within or outside of Canada according to rules and procedures.
- Manage the receipt and issue of goods in the warehouse.
- Perform weekly inventory counts, check levels.
- Apply customer service procedures (information, problem resolution, advice).
- Use the inventory software according to the requirements of the position.
- Inform and collaborate with the administration agent - class 1 purchasing.
- Complete paper and digital shipping documents required for shipment and delivery, increasingly using management software, optical scanners, bar code scanners and other similar technologies that record product identification information.
- Perform all other related duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as warehouse agent or the equivalent.
- Fluency in French written and spoken; capacity to communicate in English is required in order to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients and/or stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of current office software and inventory software.
- Adaptable, autonomous and meticulous.
- Good work organization and judgment.
- Physical work, need to lift 50 kg
- Basic knowledge of Lean philosophy and Kanban systems (an asset)
