ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
SITA is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Specialist to join as a Flight Trajectory Optimization Domain Lead and the Applications portfolio team within our Aircraft division.
Based in Canada, this role is critical in shaping and executing SITA’s strategy for flight trajectory optimization, a key factor in enhancing fuel efficiency and operational performance for airlines.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in airline operations, particularly in-flight operations and trajectory optimization, gained through hands-on experience in an operations control center at a North American airline, preferably as a dispatcher.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Define and execute the strategy for flight trajectory optimization within the Applications portfolio and across SITA’s Aircraft division.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers across multiple portfolios to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide expertise and insights to shape the development of flight trajectory optimization tools, with a focus on fuel consumption reduction.
- Work closely with the North American business development teams to support customer engagements, sales efforts, and lead generation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in flight operations and airline operations, ensuring product offerings are aligned with market needs and industry trends.
- Engage with airlines and other key partners to understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable product strategies.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience working in an operations control center for a North American airline, preferably as a dispatcher.
- Strong understanding of flight trajectory optimization and airline operations.
- Deep knowledge of aviation industry practices, with particular expertise in flight operations.
- Ability to define and execute product strategies in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong track record of working with cross-functional teams.
- Based in Canada, with the ability to travel as needed for customer engagements.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, or a related field.
- Experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment.
