Job Summary
This is a challenging role within the team supporting the Financial Controller of RBCs Wealth Management segment. You will support Wealth Management businesses and RBC as a whole by delivering timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting and maintaining robust internal control.
Job Description
What will you do?- Execute monthly financial close processes, including detailed analysis and time-sensitive journal entries to make sure RBCs ledgers are complete and accurate
- Coordinate multiple financial and regulatory reporting deliverables in support of RBCs external reporting
- Help the Financial Controller and other colleagues advise the business on accounting and reporting implications arising from new business/products, new financial reporting requirements and special projects
- Support RBCs robust internal controls by making sure reconciliations and other controls are carried out with appropriate documentation, coordinate control review and testing, and liaise with RBCs internal and external auditors
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- Pursuit of a degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or a quantitative discipline with an interest in finance and/or accounting
- Strong ownership posture with a demonstrated ability to follow issues through to resolution
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in or exposure to the financial services industry is an asset
