They are currently seeking an Estimator to join their team in London.

Job Description

As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects within the institutional building sector.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive estimates for time, materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to discuss and refine estimates, addressing any concerns or discrepancies.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to review and adjust cost estimates based on project changes.
  • Prepare estimates to assist in the selection of vendors or subcontractors.
  • Assess material and labor requirements to determine the most cost-effective approach whether producing or purchasing components.
  • Maintain an up-to-date directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors for sourcing purposes.
  • Oversee the tendering process and lead negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.

The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience as an Estimator with a Design-Build or General Contractor, specifically within the ICI sector.
  • Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in estimating software and other relevant applications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
