Project Manager-Commercial and Multifamily

Adecco is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple commercial and multifamily construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with senior management, stakeholders, and the project teams to drive project success and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, trade partners, and clients.
- Pay Rate: $110k-$140k/year.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to quality, budgetary, and timeline targets.
- Work with senior management, stakeholders, and department heads to identify resource needs and project priorities.
- Take full accountability for project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts. Track expenditures to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage project procurement, select trade partners, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and strong relationships.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external teams, including trade partners and stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, quality, safety, and project team health.
- Prepare monthly project status reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to handle unforeseen issues or delays.
- Enforce our client’s standard operating processes across all projects under your oversight.
- Ensure successful project commissioning and handover that exceeds client expectations.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvements for future projects.
- Provide guidance and coaching to your direct reports, contributing to their professional development and performance improvement.
- Represent and promote the company’s culture and values.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a general contractor project manager, with over 5 years of progressive project management experience in ICI projects. Experience with multi-residential or hi-rise projects is an asset.
- LEED and/or PMP accreditation is preferred. Professional Designations (P. Eng or C.E.T.) would be an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Adobe-Pro, Bluebeam, and Autodesk.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, union relations, safety compliance, and other construction-specific HR challenges.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on people management, conflict resolution, and fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
- Strong communication skills in both English and French are highly valued.
