Werkman, Boven & Associates is seeking a receptionist to join our clinic team in Oakville. This role supports both our patients and clinical staff by providing professional, compassionate, and efficient front-desk service while coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and assisting with administrative duties.

The Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for patients while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. The right candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Schedule patient appointments to optimize practitioner workflow
  • Invoice patients and process payments
  • Create, update, and maintain patient medical records
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive patient information
  • Chart accurate information regarding patient care
  • Prepare treatment plans and estimates for patients
  • Assist patients with product purchases and inquiries
  • Coordinate with the chiropodist to support referrals to other healthcare professionals and provide patients with appropriate next steps
  • Provide support to clinic assistants when required
  • Contribute as an integral member of the clinical team alongside chiropodists and support staff

Requirements

  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
