Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team on a part-time, contract basis.
The Business Analyst will lead the analysis of client asset management technology needs across multiple stakeholder groups.Using Caliberr’s proprietary frameworks and methodologies, the Analyst will chart varying requirements, identify gaps and overlaps, and assist in drafting a recommended technology solution tailored to the client's environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct client needs analysis for asset management technology solutions across diverse customer groups.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews to gather and validate business and functional requirements.
- Map and analyze existing asset management processes, systems, and data structures.
- Apply Caliberr’s proprietary frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to guide assessments and deliverables.
- Chart, categorize, and synthesize stakeholder requirements to identify areas of alignment, divergence, and solution opportunities.
- Assist in drafting proposed technology solution options, considering operational and organizational needs.
- Prepare clear, professional reports, findings, and presentation materials for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and technical leads to support technology recommendations.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service excellence.
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally in asset management, EAM systems (e.g., Infor, Hexagon, Cityworks, SAP), or municipal operations.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and standards (e.g., ISO 55000, lifecycle asset management, work management processes).
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and consolidating complex business requirements from multiple stakeholder groups.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, business process mapping, and documentation.
- Ability to support the drafting of technology solution recommendations aligned to business and operational needs.
- Exposure to tools like Power BI is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic project environment.
- Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with municipal or broader public sector operations is an advantage.
- Willingness to adopt and apply Caliberr’s proprietary methods, frameworks, and tools is required.
- Part-time contract (estimated 20 hours per week, based on project needs).
- Flexible schedule with availability during business hours for client meetings as required.
- Initial contract term:
- 6 months · Contractor must supply their own laptop equipped with Microsoft Office, MS Visio (or an equivalent process mapping tool), and maintain a reliable internet connection.
