About Our Client
Our client, a leading construction firm specializing in large-scale projects across Ontario, is committed to quality, safety, and innovation. As they expand their operations in the Hamilton region, they are looking for an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to manage projects valued between $15 million and $80 million.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Lead and manage the construction team, including subcontractors and labor, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to track progress, identify challenges, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Act as a liaison between project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Coordinate communication with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Review and approve project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and change orders.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or Construction Project Management is required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction management, specifically with large-scale projects.
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent, having completed at least 3 full-cycle new build institutional projects valued between $15M and $80M.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations in Ontario.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
