Job Overview
The Payroll and HCM Implementation Consultant is a subject matter expert (“SME”) in a unique element of the Human Capital Management application of the CMiC software. This element uses evolving technology to interface with standard payroll and HR elements, so dialogue and communication outward-facing to clients for implementation and inward-facing to product development teams makes this position unique.The role must also be considered within the greater context of Human Capital Management, so an appreciation of the broad application is required. In their role, the HRIS implementation consultation will work between Project Coordinators, Project Managers, HCM Project Coordinator and HCM consultants for both ERP and cloud-based implementations to ensure the order, timely and well communicated implementation of CMiC software.
The HCM HRIS Specialist also plays a role in developing, the HCM project, working with HCM Support, Product Management, Development and Programming personnel by fashioning expertise and client experience into effective perspective and feedback that will be useful in creating future product.
This role is also responsible for completing both standard and non-standard documentation for actual and proposed processes and forwarding same in an intelligent and organized manner. This HRIS Specialist is also an important resource for clients in testing, investigating and resolving functional issues and cases.
Duties & Responsibilities- Travel may be required in support of client go-live engagements
- Work with Project Coordinators, HCM Project Coordinator, HCM consultants and clients to effectively deliver HCM HRIS implementations for Public Cloud engagements and ensure on-time delivery of services.
- Identify and communicate with consultants and project coordinators as implementation timelines become excessively tight.
- Work with HCM Support in resolution of client issues, and HCM programmers in product development.
- Develop various test and demonstration environments for software presentations.
- Set up client systems as required with relevant security and user license settings.
- Work with HCM Project Coordinator and case software to record, assign, track and follow-up additional billable and non-billable work orders.
- Record and store project documentation and communicate with project coordinators and clients as required.
- Prepare reports and provide up-to-date information on implementations and work order progress for management as required.
- Support Billing and AR Coordinator in queries and information, as required.
- Participate in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members as required
- College/university degree - preferable in HR, Business, or equivalent experience
- Experience with U.S. environments is an asset
- ADP, Ceridian, Paylocity, Workbrain, and HCM Software experience would be an asset
- Previous industry experience with Construction, Engineering, Professional Services or other firms is preferred
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented, and able to maintain information on multiple clients.
- Ability to work with project coordinators and consulting staff and provide, or research, engagement status.
- Ability to work with clients and identify, encapsulate client issues and envision and implement solutions.
- Ability to work with new technologies as presented.
- Demonstrated comfort and diplomacy working with different teams/end users on project/implementation requirements.
- Strong ability to multitask within a fast paced and dynamic workplace.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities (written and oral), with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency using MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook)
- Previous technical support experience or customer service experience. (Optional)
