Administrative Support III
Following the clinic protocols for the provision of clerical and organization support to the Outpatient Clinics, you will perform a variety of administrative support duties including but not limited to reception duties, receiving and processing referrals, organizing and scheduling patient appointments, file maintenance, data entry/review, waitlist management, clinic flow, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
As the Admin Support III you will be self-directed, have strong communication, professionalism and customer service skills; demonstrate independent decision-making, problem-solving skills; time management, confliction resolution, accurately collect & document information in a timely manner; be adaptable in an environment with constant interruptions and short timelines; show accountability and attention to detail while demonstrating an enhanced ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing care to children and their families, many with complex needs.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of a Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant program including Medical Terminology or equivalent education & experience.1 year experience providing administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. Experience with booking appointments with an electronic booking/scheduling system, electronic chart management, understanding of clinic workflow/processes, telephone etiquette and skills.
Experience using and electronic health record system. 3 years’ experience providing administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. 1 year experience booking complex medical appointments with multiple providers, and/or diagnostic testing, and/or multiple departments combined scheduling.
Experience with OR booking or Lumens would be an asset. Experience working with children in an educational/healthcare, childcare or related setting. Experience with Connect Care including various roles an asset.
