Electrician

Summary:
PaperWorks is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to work on a full-time, permanent basis out of our facility at 120 Trillium Drive in Kitchener, Ontario.
We offer a competitive compensation package which includes health & dental benefits and disability benefits, as well as a group pension program. Starting hourly pay rate of $38.95-$41.51, plus shift premiums and a discretionary bonus program.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the Maintenance team to complete scheduled PM’s in a timely manner, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our PM program and the equipment
- Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency
- Complete detailed work logs for all repairs, to help our predictive maintenance process.
- Understand and apply the Electrical Safety Code at all times
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior tradespersons
- Other duties as required.
- Will be working a rotating, 12 hour continental shift schedule (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)
Qualifications:
- Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician with strong working knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code
- Not quite licensed yet? We'd still love to see your application if you are a 3rd or 4th year apprentice!
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLC’s, variable frequency drives and motion control
- Experience with printing and high-speed packaging equipment would be considered an asset.
