Duration: Permanent Role Location: Remote (Travel may be required) Our Fin-Tech Client is in need of a Director of Payments to Lead the Strategy and Roadmap for various Payment Initiatives (Wires, EFT, AFT, etc.) The Director, Payments will lead efforts to strengthen, grow and modernize the clients' product offerings across wires, bill payments, automatic funds transfers, cheque, Interac, e-Transfers, real-time rail, clearing and settlement, and reporting by effectively managing risks and aligning to overall strategic direction.

This role will be accountable for defining and delivering product roadmaps, managing P&L, engaging clients and key stakeholders while developing and managing a high-performance team. This role will also work collaboratively with technology, operations, and program management office (PMO) teams and external stakeholders as well as third-party partners as required.
Must Have: 10+ years experience as a Payments expert: Payments solutions, Regulatory requirements, etc. 10+ years experience with Product Management including managerial experience New product development and roll out, Process improvement, Project Management Creating of strategy and roadmap , KPI Development, Risk Assessment, etc.
Nice to Haves: Masters Degree Knowledge of the Credit Union domain Key Responsibilities Leadership in managing the current portfolio and product strategy and roadmap. Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation.
Oversee all aspects of product life cycle management as the product and business owner, including prioritization, business requirements, development, compliance and risk management, testing and production launch. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) that measure product success and lead to continuous improvement.

Lead research and innovation through industry and market research. Provide payments expertise to clients, prospective clients and internal partners, and demonstrate thought-leadership in the industry payments forums. Oversee project development and infrastructure changes, including business requirements, collaboration and confirmation of functional requirements documents, satisfaction of the client's governance criteria, compliance with AML and business risk requirements, review, and approval of test plans and sign-off on production launch.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the clients' brand, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
