Our client is looking for a Sr. Software Developer (ColdFusion) to support upgrades with the recent versions for a consulting company.
Must Have's:
- 5+ years of experience as a ColdFusion Developer
- Extensive experience in upgrading ColdFusion software to newer versions
- Proficiency in ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML) and related web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) and ORM frameworks.
- Knowledge of web server environments and deployment (Apache, IIS)
Nice to Have's:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Responsibilities:
Software Upgrades: Lead the process of upgrading ColdFusion applications to new versions, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.Development: Design, develop, and maintain ColdFusion applications and components.
Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and performance standards are met post-upgrade.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to upgrades and application changes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and product management, to ensure smooth implementation of upgrades and new features.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to ColdFusion applications and server performance.Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in software development, security, and application performance.
