Senior CAD Designer/Drafter - Transportation Infrastructure

In this role you will get to work with a team of engineers and other drafters using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create engineering drawings supporting transportation infrastructure projects in Washington State and beyond. Hybrid remote work allowed (meaning, working from home 0-5 days per week) .
This role supports civil road, rail and highway, and structural bridge or tunnel projects. This role can be virtually based in North America ( USA or Canada) What You'll Be Doing: Work with a team of engineers and other drafters to create drawing packages for transportation construction projects Design drafting for roadway and/or bridge projects for WSDOT, Sound Transit and other clients Use drafting and design software from the Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Open Roads Designer or Microstation suites, depending on client requirements.
Check your work to adherence to client CAD standards and engineers’ markups Utilize ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud file management system as directed Support projects for Sound Transit, WSDOT and other clients Possibly some bridge structural projects support as wel What Required Skills You'll Bring: 2-year technical degree or other related certification of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred, and typically 4+ years of related experience.
Experience supporting transportation infrastructure, inclusive of road and highway projects is essential Proficiency with either Microstation and/or Autocad Civil 3D software What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Willingness to work in a team environment and to learn from more experienced peers Positive attitude Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
