- oriented and analytical GIS Student to assist in enhancing our geographic information system (GIS) database.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create sub-addresses for large complexes to ensure accurate location data for emergency services.
- Determine building heights and floors for high-rise towers to assist in emergency response planning.
- Map town-house condo units to improve address accuracy and emergency response times.
- Identify and map unnamed streets to enhance the completeness of our GIS database.
- Develop common names for locations to facilitate easier identification and communication.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with other related GIS tasks as needed.
- Currently enrolled in a Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, or related program.
- Strong understanding of GIS principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
