Hamilton Kent is seeking for a permanent full time Industrial Millwright (433A) who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and ancillary equipment.
LOCATION: Hamilton Kent - 77 Carlingview Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5E6
POSITION AVAILABLE: B SHIFT: 3:00PM – 11:00PM (Monday – Friday)
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES- Ensure that all equipment required for production is operational per work order
- Replace/repair equipment parts as required
- Ensure that computerized work order system is updated for work orders completed
- Perform preventative maintenance and fill in data sheets appropriately.
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright-433A) 5 years + Maintenance certificate
- Experience in maintaining industrial equipment
- Strong knowledge on pneumatic and hydraulic system
- Basic understanding of low and high voltage power systems
- Knowledge on welding jobs and modification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good team player
- Strong skills troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery which include but are not limited to the following: mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, cooling, exhaust systems, pumps, presses, gearboxes, fans, tanks, conveyors, presses, and generators
- Ability to use various machine tools, lathes, milling, fabrication, welders, presses, etc.
- Able to use precision tools i.e., laser alignment, dial indicator, etc.
- Use testing equipment and techniques in predictive and preventative maintenance
- Interacts with maintenance foreman, other maintenance personnel, plant engineer, and production personnel (especially during evenings and weekends)
- 100% of time on plant floor or in maintenance workshop.
- Maintaining equipment, repairing breakdowns, working on assigned improvement projects which could involve moderate (30 lbs.)
- Incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules & regulations which are derived from the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
