What is the opportunity?
As Senior Manager, Initiatives and Distribution Finance you will provide financial and strategic advice in support of the Distribution business in Personal and Commercial Banking. The role will deliver finance advisory support to finance and business leadership on key initiatives across the distribution line of business, including business cases, projects, and ad hoc analysis.The role will be accountable for understanding and tracking key business metrics to support analysis and transformation of the business. Additional accountabilities include providing support on monthly reporting and planning and forecasting.
What will you do?- Proactively partner to provide advice to finance and business senior management on business performance, cost trends, and KPI trends.
- Oversee the monitoring, analysis and reporting of financial results tied to key business metrics (e.g. advisor productivity)
- Provide financial leadership and modelling for business cases and other analysis in support of key strategic business decisions
- Primary liaison to Distribution Strategy and Transformation business partners.
- Identify, recommend and monitor key cost drivers and recommend cost opportunities to finance and senior management
- Support monthly financial reporting processes to ensure timely and insightful reporting of financial information.
- Consult, creating strong relationships executives and senior management.
- Act as lead on special projects and initiatives in support of the Distribution business.
What you need to succeed?
Must Have- 5+ Years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral & written, with good interpersonal skills in order to establish relationships across all levels of the enterprise.
- Experience in financial reporting & analysis and cost management.
- Experience using metrics, KPIs and cost/value drivers in performance management
- Experience with unique financial systems such as EPM or similar reporting tools
- Problem solving and collaborative skills
- Curious and proactive mindset
- Solid business acumen
- Experience with data tools including Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Knime etc.
- Knowledge on Bank’s operations, products and services.
- Knowledge on calculation and drivers of staff costs, including pension & benefits.
- Knowledge of cost allocations and internal management chargeouts
- Prior experience providing direct support to executives, senior business leaders
- B. Comm. or MBA. CA, CMA, CGA, MBA or equivalent work experience
