Context:

The Systems Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the collaborative process with Dev Co, the CA, TA, and other Parties, as applicable, to optimize the systems, and MEP delivery of the proposed design, to deliver the best schedule, Value for Money, Third Party value, and to arrive at a systems implementation plan that holistically addresses the needs of relevant Stakeholders.

Missions/Main Duties:

Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Championing resource management, interface and constraints management, and relevant elements or risk management and mitigation
  • Input into all phases of project management including design, installation, quality control, testing and commissioning, safety and security certification, staffing & budget management. Works with planning team to review detailed and accurate program of work
  • Recommending and initiates change to project delivery plans, identify areas of improvement to put forward to relevant area in business and operating processes
  • Supporting engagement with external relationships important for project delivery (e.g., statutory authorities)
  • Establishing and maintains excellent working relationships with e.g., systems suppliers and designers, M&E consultants, structural and civil engineers, property consultants, planning consultants, contractors, cost consultants, the Operator and other specialists
  • Building and maintains networks with peer project teams and other disciplines & Introducing relevant key performance indicator monitoring and engagement, directly linked to monthly measurement criteria established
  • Supporting the project teams with the cooperation and coordination of contractors while they are on site
  • Providing overall supervision and project management leadership during the implementation and delivery phases;
  • Ensuring project schedules are developed and implemented so that deliverables are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner to all stakeholders
  • Where relevant, leading meetings convened by the Sponsors with the Contractor to review project work schedule
  • Tracking, monitoring, and communicating performance against project requirements, quality measures, milestones and KPIs in relevant KRAs
  • Review status reports from project teams/vendors and address issues with program or portfolio impacts as appropriate
  • Improving and implementing approved procedures to ensure successful execution of projects
  • Participating in key decision making, risk analysis and assessments
  • Ensure sustainability is at the heart of Program process and decision making to ensure the right decisions are made now and for the future.
  • Help identify value engineering savings within the project designs and construction methods.
  • Facilitate a project environment which is collaborative, inclusive, diverse and celebrates our differences.

Profile/Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field of study
Years of experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in similar positions
