Our client, an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to join their team. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on costing, inventory analysis, and reporting to support business operations and decision-making processes.

The Senior Cost Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring accurate cost accounting for manufacturing operations and inventory management within the organization. A strong emphasis is placed on leveraging Excel and SAP to manage and report financial data effectively.

• Analyze purchase price variances, tariff costs, intercompany markups, conversion cost statements, and production variances.
• Conduct inventory analysis, including cycle counts and inventory purchase price reviews.
• Assess bill of materials (BOM) and routing accuracy, with a primary focus on the routing side.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and requests related to cost and inventory analysis.
• Export, structure, and manipulate data using strong Excel techniques (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Utilize SAP and business intelligence software to extract and upload data.
• Participate in cost-related aspects of the budget process for manufacturing operations.
• Prepare costing and expense components for annual budgets, focusing on the 8000+ SKUs of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and service parts tracked.
• Partner with production teams to evaluate costing implications for new materials and intercompany costs (fixed and variable).
