Leon's is hiring for a IT Cyber Security Administrator
The primary objective of this role is to ensure all IT operations are properly protected against cyberattacks while providing meaningful insights about the organization's threat environment context to improve its risk management structure.- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems and application vulnerability assessments. Protecting a network against malware. (e.g., NIPS, anti-malware, restrict/prevent external devices, spam filters)
- Applying cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
- Performing impact/risk assessments Hands on leading high severity and major incidents to ensure timely management escalation and resolution with acceptable root cause analysis.
- Skill in system, network, and OS hardening techniques (e.g., remove unnecessary services, password policies, network segmentation, enable logging, least privilege, etc.).
- Assist in developing IT cybersecurity KPIs. Compile Executive status reports, monthly and daily reports. IT documentation, training manuals, dashboards, and report cards. Review system monthly updates and security patch reports. Keeping IT department up to date with latest IT trends and security advisories.
- IT cybersecurity support coverage for organization needs, including outside of regular office hours as required. 24x7x365.
- Tracking of IT cybersecurity related expenditures, maintenance contracts and licensing materials.
- Report directly to Director, Information Technology. Other duties as assigned.
- VMWare, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office tools & technologies, this includes Office365 suite, Visio, Project. Microsoft Windows scripting and PowerShell scripting technologies. Microsoft WSUS.
- Sophos – Enterprise level Endpoint products, EDR services
- KnowBe4 – Training and Security Awareness products
- ManageEngine – AD Audit
- Familiar and working experiences working with Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) tools and applications.
- Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., public key infrastructure, Oauth, OpenID, SAML, SPML).
- Knowledge of network traffic analysis methods and Virtual Private Network (VPN) security.
- Knowledge of transmission records (e.g., Bluetooth, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Infrared Networking (IR), Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). paging, cellular, satellite dishes, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)).
- Knowledge of different classes of attacks (e.g., passive, active, insider, close-in, distribution attacks).
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written business communications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or management information systems.
- 2+ year of IT experiences related to cybersecurity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solution to problems. Strong sense of business urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivated and ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently and under pressure. Process optimistic, positive, and can-do attitude.
- Must pass criminal and security background checks
- Preferred certifications in these areas: ITIL / OSCP / eJPT / PNPT / TCM
