Siebel Software Designer

Overview: The team responsible for order acquisition and fulfillment is seeking a Siebel Software Designer to support the delivery of Enterprise Order Manager (EOM), Business Customer Order Management (BCOM), and Internet Provisioning Access Gateway (IPAG) platforms.

This role involves working in a hybrid framework, with some work done in an Agile methodology and other tasks following a more traditional waterfall approach.

The project is estimated to include eighteen (18) iterations of three (3) weeks each, with work delivered under the guidance of Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Agile Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work is primarily self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of acting as a lead or supervisor for others and assisting management in decision-making.
  • Participates as a high-level technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or significant enhancements to existing software.
  • Collaborates with technical teams to identify and resolve software issues and develop necessary specifications.
  • May act as a team leader on less complex projects.
  • Assists in training and mentoring less experienced technical staff.
  • Works under the general direction of a senior system integrator, project manager, or IT manager.

Requirements

General Requirements:

  • Experience and working knowledge of EOM, BCOM, and IPAG platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the Siebel product, including enhancements and customizations.
  • Familiarity with both development and infrastructure processes.
  • Awareness of risks related to aging code and potential performance impacts.

Technology/Tools Experience:

  • Program/Project Management & Team Collaboration:
  • Jira, Confluence for Test Management.
  • Maximo, ServiceNow for Production Service Desk.
  • Urban Code Deploy, Oracle Utils for Release Management.
  • GitLab for Source and Deployment Management.
  • Testing & Automation:
  • Selenium, HP UFT, Cucumber for Automated Functional Regression Testing.
  • IBM TSV for System Stubs.
  • XRAY for Production Service Desk.
Benefits
  • Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 40 hours weeks working onsite up to 5 days a week
  • Location: Toronto, ON
