Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to join our client’s team, working with one of the world's leading retail and brand manufacturers located in Scarborough, ON. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, ensuring product compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
- Location: Scarborough ON
- Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm AND Friday: 7:30 am to 2:00 pm
- Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 6-month contract

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct regular audits of internal processes and supplier operations to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for quality enhancement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both internal and external quality performance.
- Lead problem-solving efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain supplier quality management programs, including supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and improvement processes.
- Ensure timely resolution of quality issues related to supplier products or processes.
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive QMS tailored to the display manufacturing industry.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including quality plans, inspection reports, and supplier documentation.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
- CQE (ASQ), Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Manufacturing.
- 2QMS (ISO 9001, TS 16949), SPC, FMEA, RCA, testing equipment, CAD.
- Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to improve efficiency and resolve issues proactively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A keen eye for accuracy and precision in tasks, ensuring quality control, compliance with regulations, and minimizing errors in project execution.
- Expertise in planning, organizing, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
