Toronto - Quality Engineer

• Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm AND Friday: 7:30 am to 2:00 pm
• Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 6-month contract

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
• Conduct regular audits of internal processes and supplier operations to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for quality enhancement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both internal and external quality performance.
• Lead problem-solving efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality management programs, including supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and improvement processes.
• Ensure timely resolution of quality issues related to supplier products or processes.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive QMS tailored to the display manufacturing industry.
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
• Provide training and support to employees on quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
• Foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including quality plans, inspection reports, and supplier documentation.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
• CQE (ASQ), Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Manufacturing.
• 2QMS (ISO 9001, TS 16949), SPC, FMEA, RCA, testing equipment, CAD.
• Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to improve efficiency and resolve issues proactively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A keen eye for accuracy and precision in tasks, ensuring quality control, compliance with regulations, and minimizing errors in project execution.
• Expertise in planning, organizing, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
