Construction Director - Data Centres

About Our Client

This position is with a highly reputable large organization in the industrial construction industry, with a strong presence across Canada and the United States. The company specializes in temperature controlled light industrial and data centre construction projects and is renowned for its commitment to excellence.

• Lead and manage complex construction projects, specifically related to data centres valued in the $100-200M range - assemble a network and supply chain of local market industry contacts to secure and execute projects
• Lead and manage the Canadian Construction Division for the company - P&L responsibility
• Establish relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality
• Develop and implement project plans and schedules
• Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Manage risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company safety policies

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Director should have:

• A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing full cycle data centre construction projects valued between $100M and $200M in scope
• Strong experience managing construction P&L's of 10+ people in a GC/CM environment
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations and safety standards

• A competitive salary range in and around $250,000 - Total compensation North of $300,000
