Payroll Supervisor/Manager

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager in Aurora, Ontario. This role resides within the HR department and is crucial to the efficient processing and management of payroll activities.

• Provide support and guidance to the payroll team, ensuring accuracy in all tasks
• Act as a backup for the payroll team, stepping in when necessary to assist
• Oversee the processing of weekly payroll for multiple locations, ensuring all are completed accurately and on time
• Utilize PeopleSoft and Kronos systems to manage payroll and timekeeping tasks
• Conduct regular audits of payroll records and processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Assist in the creation and improvement of payroll documentation, manuals, and SOPs
• Manage and reconcile payroll for over 800 employees across various locations
• Regularly review and manage employee hours using time management systems
• Handle complex payroll situations, such as shifts and averaging hours
• Collaborate closely with the team, acting more as a peer than a supervisor, to promote a positive and efficient working environment.
