What is the opportunity?You will be part of our fast paced Finance IT team and will be responsible for Test Implementation and Test Automation oversight on our Big Data Platform using latest technologies like Cloud, Kafka, and Containerization. The project comprises of teams of QE professionals providing Test Services for the applications and programs within Finance IT.
Your role will focus on leading the team providing and improving on QE Automation for these groups while implementing test execution. This position provides you opportunity to demonstrate and build technical processes and architecture as well and leadership skills while providing IT solutions to highly volatile business environment.
What will you do?- Supports overall quality engineering strategy, accountable for developing and executing functional testing as well as build automation implementations for the ecosystem/program
- Establishes and drive strategic and tactical QE initiatives, drives the implementation of the QE Automation Program and overall QE Automation process and standards
- Manages and & builds a high performing diverse team that leverages individual capabilities & strengths, Ensures adequate training and tools to deliver objectives
- Accountable for maximizing automation for all project functional testing deliverables in portfolio
- Responsible for following and developing defined processes and tools and alignment with overall QE strategy and framework
- Responsible for providing accurate and detailed quality status to project team and stakeholders
- Single point of accountability for the success of programs assigned with respect to testing automation. Accountable for teams managing the Test Implementations, Test Environments and Test Data Management.
- Partner with Application Development Directors to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of people management experience
- Experience in a variety of test automation tools (Robot Framework, Selenium)
- Script development using scripting languages. Primarily in Unix, Python, and SQL
- Knowledge of Big Data Technologies
- Experience using SDLC, QE and DevOps tools (JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, UurbanCodeDeploy, HP ALM etc.
- Hands-on experience with Data related testing, including Data Ingestion, Lineage, Quality, Transformation and Consumptions using automated tools.
- Strong Communication skills together with Test Automation vision and leadership skills for innovation.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience reviewing artefacts including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)
- Cloud certification and solutions such as ElasticSearch, Kafka, SNS)
- Business domain knowledge on Finance and Risk.
- Experience in vendor management
- Certifications: ISTQB
- Hands-on knowledge and experience on Data masking technologies.
- QA implementations using Agile methodology
- QA implementations on Big Data implementations
