We are currently looking for a Property Rentals Coordinator to join our team. You will be working at our facility located at 1921 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 2L6
This is a permanent, full-time position, based on 30 hours per week. Merchants Flea Market is open Wednesday through Sunday so the successful applicant will be expected to work weekends. Further information respecting the position can be found below.
Position
As a Property Rentals Coordinator, you will be a crucial part of our property management operations, providing essential support to ensure smooth and efficient daily functions for property rental units. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to contributing to the success of our property management endeavors.
Duties will include the following:
- Assist property management team in producing property rental contracts through negotiations with current and potential tenants, and ensuring that terms of the contract are met.
- Oversee records on operating expenses versus income of the flea market rental spaces and maintain knowledge of market value of rental units to ensure contracts with vendors for property rental space are priced appropriately.
- Assisting General Manager with meeting property rental contract terms by coordinating the provision of property services, such as cleaning and maintenance, security services and repairs, as needed.
- Ensure vendor concerns, or issues with customers on property, are addressed properly and in a timely manner.
- Understand vendor products to determine proper organization of vendors within the market, and prepare contracts for vendor spots accordingly.
- Utilize knowledge of vendor products to establish social media campaigns that not only promote vendors but the flea market, itself.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Completion of secondary school required
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Property management, or related field is an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a property clerk, contract clerk, administrative officer, or related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of flea market-specific property rental management experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in social media management and content creation, including a proficiency in using social media analytics tools.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Great problem solver, with an ability to anticipate, analyze, diagnose and resolve problems.
- Superior organization and planning skills, and an ability to use logical and systematic tools to meet objectives.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- A team player who is able to work effectively and productively with others.
- Microphone skills a definite asset.
Compensation
We offer a generous compensation package, which includes:
- Salary: $45,000 per annum based on 30 hours of work per week
- Vacation: 10 paid days per year
- Other: eligible for discretionary bonuses in accordance with standard company policies
