Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Communications & Social Media Marketing Specialist will be a key member of the team situated in the Montreal office. The incumbent is responsible for promoting a strong brand image for DS Avocats, creating content to engage key stakeholders, executing social media campaigns, and supporting internal and external events with engaging materials.

This position is ideal for a recent university graduate (within the past five years) who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to ideate, design, organize, produce, and publish marketing content to promote the firm's expertise and services.
Profile required
The incumbent will play a critical role in shaping our online brand presence, ensuring that our communication materials reach our target audience. He/she will be responsible for creating innovative content and recommending ideas for continuous improvement.
Internal Communications
  • Develop, organize and manage internal communications content in partnership with key stakeholders across the various internal communications channels;
  • Manage communications planning using an editorial calendar;
  • Implement various internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement and alignment with corporate objectives;
  • Leverage analytical data to gain insights into the performance of internal communications initiatives;
  • Organize and manage company-wide consultation meetings and ongoing initiatives and events;
  • Perform other internal communications tasks as required.
External Communications
  • Collaborate with website developers and designers to update content, making ad hoc changes and improvements to the website to ensure it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the brand's image;
  • Manage and update the company's social media profiles to enhance brand visibility and engagement;
  • Research, select and create engaging content, including text, images and video;
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries and manage online reputation;
  • Analyze social media analytics and metrics to track campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements;
  • Collaborate with senior associates to create relevant content and promotional campaign materials for print and online media;
  • Contribute to preparing and delivering client presentations and quarterly and annual business reviews;
  • Assist in planning and participating in student engagement events, partner meetings, and special events.
Qualifications and competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field;
  • Two to five years of proven experience in social media and communications, ideally within professional services;
  • Excellent writing skills with experience writing for various audiences;
  • Strong editing and proofreading abilities;
  • Solid experience in tracking, measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of social media campaigns;
  • Proficiency in using technology and methodologies in graphic design, web design, social media, and website management;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Fully bilingual in French and English;
  • Recognized ability to think creatively and innovate;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
