Overview:

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Client Service Manager to win and manage engineering work in the BC and grouth regions.
In this client-facing role, you will be instrumental in building on our growth in the region and will be facilitating the planning, design, and construction of complex water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects, including the development and execution of budgets, schedules, contract obligations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities as an Associate Vice President, Client Services Manager, and Regional Market Lead with Carollo will include:

  • Working with the Client Services Director for Canada, Business Development Manager other Client Service Managers, and other consultants to support the development of the market and team in Canada and advance the regional growth strategy for the Canadian operations.
  • Liaise directly with the Managing Director of Client Services to support project delivery across regions.
  • This will include a variety of strategic opportunities and project delivery assignments, where efforts will be allocated approximately 50% to project delivery and 50% business and team development.

People:

  • Identify and attract strategic hires to help develop and grow the treatment and infrastructure business within Canada and new strategic growth regions and markets.
  • Provide leadership and management of the local team and resources to achieve the regional operational targets.
  • Integrate the team to facilitate collaboration to benefit clients in our region, improve local employee experience and support the company growth strategy.
  • Promote and model a culture of technical excellence and client focused project delivery.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to support the continued growth and development of the Canadian team.
Clients
  • Collaboratively provide input in the development of our client, market and practice strategies for the Canadian Market and growth regions.
  • Serve as a Client Services Manager for clients in growth regions and other key client(s), as identified within the strategic planning, which would include tracking and monitoring of opportunities, manage and maintain client relationships.
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients in the region and increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business for existing markets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between our clients and internal teams, overseeing the full client service lifecycle.
  • Lead the development of strategic market plans, guide project execution, and collaborate across regions to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop targeted client relationships in partnership with the Business Development Manager and other Client Service Managers.
  • Create work programs for identified opportunities, assemble teams, and effectively lead strategic pursuits.
  • Identify and develop key clients in new strategic growth regions and markets as part of the Canadian growth strategy.

Operational Excellence:

  • Create work programs to effectively lead projects including, assemble teams, proactively manage clients, oversee the development of quality deliverables.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence, optimizing processes, and promoting best practices across markets to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Support the implementation of the Canadian growth strategy to new regions and markets.
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects, for multiple clients, of medium to large sizes of moderately complex nature.
  • Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
  • Determines program objectives and requirements and organize programs and project.
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Responsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical matters
  • Participates on team that prepares proposals, conducts interviews, and negotiates contracts with clients
  • Active in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, officer of local or national organization.
  • Reasonable travel is required and based on clent/project needs and focus of the role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Greater than 15 years professional experience (exclusive of any advanced degree)
  • Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution, pipeline rehabilitation, and/or pump station projects
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Ability to evaluate progress of staff and results obtained, and recommend major changes to achieve overall objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple clients and project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • Design and construction phase experience
