Site Superintendent

Adecco is actively seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee multifamily residential construction projects in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing high-rise concrete structures and wood-frame apartment complexes with concrete parkades.
This is a full-time role that offers a competitive salary of $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, providing the opportunity to work on dynamic, large-scale projects within a growing company.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all on-site activities, ensuring the project progresses according to plans, timelines, and safety regulations. Lead and motivate the on-site team to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, trades, and other site staff, promoting collaboration and effective communication to meet project goals.
- Create and maintain accurate construction schedules, track project milestones, and make adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards, project specifications, and quality control measures. Quickly identify and resolve any deficiencies or issues as they arise.
- Enforce all health and safety protocols and regulations on site, conducting regular safety inspections and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project managers, clients, consultants, and inspectors. Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting any challenges or potential risks.
- Proactively identify challenges on-site and develop effective solutions to ensure the timely completion of the project without compromising on quality or safety.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a history of successfully managing and motivating teams to meet project objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, codes, regulations, and best practices, particularly within multifamily residential projects such as high-rise concrete buildings and wood-frame complexes.
- A sharp eye for quality and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that all work aligns with the highest industry standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders, from clients to subcontractors, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly identify construction challenges and implement effective solutions to avoid delays or disruptions.
- Comfortable using construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and standard office software to monitor and report on project progress.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices, with relevant certifications such as First Aid, CSTS, and WHMIS. Gold Seal or similar accreditation is a plus.
