Casual Food & Beverage II (KPRC) - Vancouver
General Information:
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual Food & Beverage II opportunities in the South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator, the Food & Beverage II provides pleasant, professional customer service to patrons and performs cooking and/or bartending, cashiering, dishwashing and bussing for the Social Lounge, concessions and event catering operations of the Food & Beverage Section.At this time, shifts would primary be for bartending work.
Qualifications:
- Secondary school graduation or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Mixology experience as well as short-order and banquet cooking experience.
- Line Cooking experience would be an asset.
- Food Safe Level I Certificate
- Serving It Right Certificate
- First Aid Level I with CPR

Hours of Work:
As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.
Salary:
This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in three steps, $19.21 - $20.42 - $21.59 per hour (2024 rates), as per the Non-Union Wage Scale, plus an additional 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and stat holidays.
