The Leadership & Culture team (L&C) is focused on developing talent and building a winning culture.As a collective team, we: develop and deliver the enterprise Leadership and People Manager strategies, lead the execution and advancement of RBC’s talent practices, execute various leadership development programs and support executive recruitment, on-boarding and development.
As Senior Manager, Leadership Strategy, you will report to the Senior Director, Leadership Strategy and will focus on supporting the development and activation of our enterprise Leadership Strategy to inspire and grow talent to set RBC apart.
To help deliver on RBC’s Leadership Strategy priorities YOU will be accountable to:
- Collaborate with team members and key partners across Human Resources, functions and the business to co-create new initiatives that deliver on the outcomes of our strategic priorities
- Support the on-going evolution and delivery of cyclical L&C team initiatives that activate our Leadership Strategy (e.g., Talent and succession planning and broader Talent Management practices)
- Integrate data and concepts from internal stakeholders and external best practices to develop insights that drive decision-making
- Stay curious and connected to the evolving needs of leaders while seeking out opportunities to drive continuous improvement across the portfolio
- Leverage Workday and other supporting technologies to advance our platform and enterprise talent management data and reporting capabilities
- Ensure integration and alignment with other key L&C and HR engagement initiatives through communication channels and key tactics
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and change agent to help solution, implement and operationalize key Leadership & Culture priorities
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Experience developing business/talent strategies for large, matrixed organizations
- Strong strategic and consultative mindset, with the ability to take a pragmatic view and align to business needs
- HR and business acumen, including experience in leadership, talent management/development, strategy creation and execution
- Strong presentation/PPT building and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders
- Exceptional relationship management skills with a proven ability to build credibility at all levels
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to exercise independent judgment and decision on complex issues, requiring advanced analysis of variable factors
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to get things done, meet tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables
- Strong ability to derive data-driven insights to inform decision-making, as well as establish and maintain necessary controls to ensure data integrity
Nice to have:
- Bilingual (English and French)
- MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
- Consulting experience with a focus on human capital projects/clients
- Proven experience with group facilitation and ability to design thoughtful approaches, elicit contributions from group members and stimulate focused discussion to achieve desired outcomes
