WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?As a Senior Solutions Architect for Advisor and ATM technologies, you will have the opportunity to define technical solutions for initiatives that evolve RBC P&CB’s ability to be the digitally enabled relationship bank it aims to. That involves continuous modernization; including bringing to life a new, large scale, CRM and advisor platform where integration and data migration are key components of the overall solution.

You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative architecture team that provides thought leadership across Advisor and ATM technology solutions. In addition, you will be accountable for demonstrating our core RBC values and setting an example for the team through your energy, motivation, quality of outcomes, and engagement.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?- Define the overall solution architecture for initiatives within CRM platform, with particular focus on Integrations with internal RBC apps as well as various SaaS platforms , which will happening throughout program execution.
- Ensure solutions have an emphasis on data management complexities and application performance
- Provide recommendations on products and solutions, and develop solution architecture sketch and design documentation for implementation projects across Advisor and ATM technologies
- Build strong understanding of business domain functionality and technology options, in order to identify data considerations and requirements “trade-offs” to meet business objectives and technology evolution
- Provide expert counsel and support to the development team on construction and maintenance of robust, integrated, secure and efficient applications supporting Advisor and ATM technologies
- Prepare or contribute to a high level solution/design (Architecture Blueprint), which will evolve along with the initiative execution
- Lead complex group meetings (including business and technology partners) for technical design, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning, providing technical leadership and design guidance as projects evolve and key decisions are needed
Must-have
- Total relevant IT experience of 7-10 years in multiple IT areas, of which at least 5 years of architecture or design experience on large programs/projects
- Advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, application development, systems design, integration and data management involving on premise, cloud, and SaaS platforms
- Advanced knowledge on different architecture/design techniques (e.g. SOA/Microservices, REST/SOAP, Event-Driven Architecture, Orchestration/Choreography, Data Pipelines), modern and legacy technology platforms (e.g. Kafka, Websphere MQ/IIB, Openshift, RBDMS, NoSQL, etc.)
- Solid experience in designing resilient enterprise applications using On Premises and Cloud computing platforms.
- Solid knowledge on Web application architecture patterns, security patterns including OAuth, SSO, SAML, etc.
- Experience building integrated solutions with legacy applications based on various legacy technology stack
- Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with global architecture areas, Application Development, T&O management, RBC business groups, Technology Infrastructure, and others
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, its data model and integration options
- Experience working as part of Agile teams
- Financial services experience
- Desire and ability to provides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capability of more junior staff
- Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitation skills
