- $56,546.21 annually Close Date 3/31/2025 Job Type Regular Full Time Temporary End Date 4/24/2026 Ministry/Organization Public Safety & Sol General Ministry Branch / Division BC Corrections Job Summary The Team The Adult Custody division within the Corrections Branch is dedicated to providing safe, secure, and rehabilitative care for individuals in custody across BC.
With a focus on offender rehabilitation, the team works collaboratively to support inmates in their journey toward positive behavioral and attitude changes through core programs and services.
The division fosters an inclusive, equitable, and diverse environment, prioritizing risk-based supervision, rehabilitation, and proactive engagement with local agencies, all while ensuring the safety and security of both staff and inmates.The Role The Reception role at FRCC provides essential administrative support to a variety of leaders within the facility, including Deputy Wardens and Assistant Deputy Wardens, across key areas such as case management, operations, staffing, and programs.
This role requires flexibility and collaboration, as the assistant will backfill for colleagues as needed to ensure smooth operations.Emphasizing inclusivity and diversity, the position plays a key part in fostering a respectful and supportive work environment for all team members while delivering effective clerical support.
Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
1 year of recent (within the last 5 years) administrative support experience.A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated practical experience in MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience dealing with confidential matters using sound judgement, tact and diplomacy.
Preference may be given to applicants with: Experience working in a correctional environment or within the justice system.
Experience in a Records Management system such as ARCS/ORCS.An Office Administration Certificate or equivalent.
