Overview

Reporting to the Plant Manager, Shipping Supervisor, will provide hands-on leadership within a fast-paced environment and ensure that time sensitive schedules are met safely and on time all food manufacturing environment

Salary Range: $75,000/yr - $80,000/yr

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee receiving operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback to team members.
  • Train and hold team members accountable for receiving procedures.
  • Monitor daily KPIs and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance coordination.
  • Inspect material deliveries, ensure accurate entry into SAP, and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Enforce FIFO, Lot # capture, and ingredient refill procedures.
  • Foster teamwork and mutual respect among team members.
  • Provide feedback on team performance and assist with changeovers.
  • Verify and correct SAP process orders and inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate CHEP pallet counts and transactions.
  • Assist with HACCP, recall procedures, and BOM reviews.
  • Backup SAP production order posting/closing.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain forklift/reach truck license.

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years of shipping/manufacturing experience preferred, especially in food/bakery.
  • Forklift license considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations independently.
  • Flexibility to support other shifts as needed.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and O.H.S.A.
  • Flexible to work in different shifts and weekends, if required.
