About Our Client

Our client, a well-established company known for excellence in the industry, is looking for a Site Foreman to oversee operations on a key project in Victoria, BC.

Job Description
  • Interpret and communicate construction plans, blueprints, and drawings to site teams.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work aligns with project goals and deadlines.
  • Provide daily updates to the superintendent and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safe work practices.
  • Lead by example-mentoring and training apprentices and labourers to develop their skills.
  • Assign tasks, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure workflow efficiency to meet project milestones.
  • Maintain high-quality construction standards, ensuring all work meets specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Work in all weather conditions, ensuring adherence to safety procedures on year-round job sites.

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years of construction experience, with expertise in concrete and wood-frame construction.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role on active construction sites.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, particularly those involving concrete structures.
  • Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and technical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada for temporary assignments when required.
  • Basic computer skills to assist with documentation and reporting.
  • A determined, solutions-driven mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
