Your role

Join our team as a Project Manager within the Furniture and Equipment National Service Line.

Our Project Managers get the opportunity to work with the best in the industry and further develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity In this role, the Project Manager will meet multiple project deadlines and collaborate with all members of the Colliers Project Leaders team in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
The individual must demonstrate a developing project portfolio, where they led some medical equipment planning projects from beginning to end. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and meeting facilitation skills, allowing them to effectively guide and influence clients, user groups, design partners, project team representatives and suppliers toward successful project outcomes

Responsibilities:

 •  Apply your expertise to healthcare facility new build and redevelopment projects
 •  Lead the delivery of projects from beginning to end. Responsibilities include:
 •  Prepare and manage project plans, resources, and schedules; evaluate medical facilities requirements and provide planning and options for client consideration
 •  Communicate directly with end clients and users;
 •  Direct and guide activities to meet deliverables of the project both in-house and with client / project representatives;
 •  Coordinate with clinical and technical specialists and Assistant Project Managers to complete project requirements within the agreed schedule
 •  Maintain proactive communication within the project
 •  Lead user groups through the requirements determination for department and room-by-room planning and selection of medical equipment
 •  Oversee medical equipment inventory activities and recommend existing equipment for future transfer
 •  Oversee the preparation and issue of deliverables to clients
 •  Prepare and review medical equipment procurement and bid documents
 •  Guide clients in the installation and commissioning of medical equipment
 •  Attend/participate in client/project meetings as required
 •  Provide reports re status/progress of assigned work including identification of risks and proposed solution
 •  Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors, obtaining equipment specification details and budget as applicable
 •  Attend and/or co-ordinate vendor demonstrations in-house, or showroom visits as applicable
 •  Assist with the development of RFP documentation / language for AFP/P3 model of project delivery
 •  Foster a positive team environment and provide necessary coaching/mentoring support to junior staff
 •  Contribute to the development of our delivery processes, systems and tools.
 •  Prepare and conduct presentations
 •  Interact with vendors to obtain equipment information and pricing
 •  Update and maintain global and project databases
 •  Read / review design drawings for creation of project-specific databases and operational considerations based on equipment utility implications
 •  Participate in team meetings and attend client site meetings as required
 •  Communicate with project stakeholders to answer questions, interpret data and explain requirements, regulations and procedures as applicable
 •  Manage conflict in a professional manner
 •  Deliver project cost estimates for inclusion in proposals, bids and project reports
 •  Maintain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products
 •  Provide technical support to proposal and business development teams
 •  Be a customer-advocate and ambassador

Qualifications:

 •  Demonstrated leadership experience, overseeing medical equipment planning projects
 •  Experience in Design Build Finance and Maintain projects highly desirable
 •  Knowledge of the Capital Planning Processes
 •  Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience with at least one of the following areas:
 •  Information Technology
 •  Operating Rom Nursing
 •  Cardiovascular Nursing
 •  Physiotherapy
 •  Pharmacy
 •  Medical Device Processing
 •  Labratory Services
 •  Diagnostic Imaging
 •  A combination of a Diploma and a minimum of 3 years' related expereince in one of the above will be considred.
 •  Excellent project management and organizational skills
 •  Abiltiy to deliver multiple projects
 •  Effectively influence others and successfully revolves a variety of client, project and technical issues
 •  Current knowledge in a range of medical equipment types and systems
 •  In-depth understanding of healthcare organizations and their operational constraints
 •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 •  Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling, word processing and spreadsheet software pacakges (MS Word and Excel)
