What is the Opportunity?

This role resides within the Risk Identification & CCAR group under the Group Risk Management - U.S. Enterprise Risk department.
 •  Subject Matter Expert on the execution of CUSO Risk ID program.
 •  Drive change through both a bottoms‐up and top-down approach to improving both the identification, quantification, and measurement of risks across the US Enterprise Risk platform.
 •  Provide support and input to the CCAR internal scenario design, emerging risks, resolution planning and other CCAR related matters as needed.
 •  Day to day management of team, mentorship of junior members across the GRM platform.

What will you do?

Risk Identification:

 •  Responsible for the end-to-end execution of the Risk ID process
 •  Lead discussions during Risk ID meetings and ensure proper execution of the Risk Identification process from both a First Line of Defense and Second Line of Defense perspective
 •  Provide review and challenge of inputs from the First Line of Defense and Second Line of Defense
 •  Presentation of outputs to the U.S. Risk Management Committee and the U.S. Risk Committee of the Board
 •  Work with the Scenario Design team to ensure material and emerging risks are properly integrated into the internally created U.S. scenarios
 •  Evolve the Risk ID program to meet the future needs of the Bank
 •  Ensure policies and procedures are up to date

Team Management
 •  Responsible for managing staff and prioritizing deliverables across the department
 •  Create development plans for staff to broaden their knowledge base across processes, risk disciplines and regulatory requirements

Other Responsibilities
 •  As priorities shift within the department, ad-hoc assignments will inevitably occur and resources are expected to be allocated as needed

What do you need to succeed?
 •  Bachelor’s Degree (in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other Business related field)
 •  Minimum 10 years work experience in relevant or complimentary capacities
 •  Strong risk management background, with extensive experience working directly in risk management departments
 •  Strong knowledge of CCAR and stress testing requirements as well as regulations related to capital planning and risk management
 •  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
 •  Extensive knowledge of financial services products (commercial loans, CRE, residential mortgages, securities, repo/reverse repo, etc.)
 •  Strong understanding of business strategies in the lending and capital markets space
 •  Inquisitive and proactive in identifying risks, proposing solutions and/or exercising sound and balanced judgement
 •  Outstanding ability to analyze problems and strong attention to detail
 •  Team player; ability to successfully partner with colleagues across departments and/or divisions
 •  Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders of varying levels, including under contentious circumstances
 •  Ability to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment
 •  Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
 •  Ability to be flexible and follow tight deadlines
 •  High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency

Suggested Qualifications:

 •  Compliance, Audit, Control and/or Regulatory experience a plus
 •  Previous Consulting experience a plus

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $160,000 - $250,000 (NJ depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
