Annual Salary range in BC: $80,00-90,000

A fantastic opportunity exists for a full time Franchisee Financial Performance Manager to join the COBS Bread Finance Team, as we look to double our business within the next five years. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing financial and commercial advice to the Franchise Operations Team and Franchisee to improve their profitability and performance.
The Performance Manager will be responsible for assessing and identifying financial risk and opportunities across the franchise network by means of providing advice on the financial viability for business sale and purchases.

Responsibilities include:

 •  Collaborate with various stakeholders (including Franchisees, COBS Bread Support Team, financial institutions and lawyers) to support the financial and commercial health of the franchise network
 •  Identify and assess the financial risks and improvement opportunities across the franchise network and working to achieve sound financial and commercial outcomes for both COBS Bread and its Franchisees
 •  Ensure the accuracy of financial data provided by franchise bakeries
 •  Assess the financial risk and security of franchise bakeries
 •  Evaluate the financial viability of bakery property and franchising agreements
 •  Provide recommendations to the Franchising team as it relates to potential candidates interested in purchasing a bakery business
 •  Maintain and grow relationships with existing and new financial institutions that have partnered with COBS Bread
 •  Support the Senior Manager of FP&A with reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc financial analysis
 •  Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

 •  4+ years’ experience in finance is required
 •  Experience in franchise and commercial banking is an asset
 •  A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
 •  CA or CPA accreditation is an asset
 •  Tactful in addressing Franchisee performance issues and impacts on the network
 •  Strong effectiveness in building relationships with key stakeholders
 •  Strong business acumen related to financial reporting and analysis
 •  knowledge of banking and funding requirements
 •  Ability to build relationships and influence sound commercial outcomes
 •  Interpersonal and great communication skills both written and verbal
 •  High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
 •  Strong skills in MS Office including Excel
 •  Knowledge of retail leasing and operations is an asset
