Your Contribution:

As part of Englobe’s commitment to Indigenous participation and collaboration, this posting is specifically set aside for aboriginal candidates (First Nation, Inuit, or Métis). As a Hygiene Health & Safety Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Hygiene Health & Safety team.
You will also collaborate and support other Environmental and Geo/Materials consulting groups within Englobe’s Ottawa office, getting exposure to a very wide range of environmental consulting services.

Your responsibilities will be:

 •  Provide support to environmental consulting projects with appropriate mentorship and training. These activities will include, but are not limited to:
 •  Conducting field investigations and sample collection.
 •  Preparation of field notes, data analysis and evaluation.
 •  Submissions of samples to analytical laboratory.
 •  Participate in technical report writing or site inspection reports based upon established templates.
 •  Participate in project meetings, office meetings, health and safety inspections.
 •  Conducting project administration tasks as required, including time-sheet generation, organizing and filing, equipment calibration and maintenance.

Your Profile:

 •  Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
 •  Proficient with use of MS Office.
 •  Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and able to complete work within established timeframes.
 •  Team-oriented and an excellent communicator.
 •  Valid driver's license
 •  Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
